Manchester Cathedral is, it's fair to say, a pretty spectacular venue for your wedding ceremony. There's been a church on the site since 923, and the current building has served the people of the city since 1215. Despite this being a fascinating and awe-inspiring fact - imagining the thousands of couples who must have been married there over the centuries, and the lives they went on to lead - I wasn't thinking about this as I waited for Laura to arrive for the service. Instead, as their wedding photographer, I was looking out for a white, modern, Hackney-Cab-style 'I Do' wedding taxi which was transporting the bride from where we'd spent a calm and relaxed morning getting ready at home in the suburbs of the city to the cathedral where Ryan was already waiting, slightly nervously, at the altar.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and, after a liberal application of confetti, the couple were whisked away in their taxi to The Old Grammar School, which was all set up and looked stunning - as you can see in the photos below! As their wedding photographer, I can honestly say that the day was everything that Laura and Ryan could ever have wanted it to be, and I'm so glad that I was asked to be there to capture it for them.
